Timothy "Timmy D" Dusick, 51, of Eau Claire died Sunday, Jan. 13, 2008, at Sacred Heart Hospital after living with cancer for an extended period of time. He was born in Eau Claire on Aug. 6, 1956, the son of Clarence Dusick and Deloris (Washburn) Spencer. He grew up in Chippewa Falls, graduating from Osseo-Fairchild High School with the class of 1975. Tim married Paula Sikorski at Hope United Methodist Church on July 15, 2006. Tim was a trustee of Hope United Methodist Church. He was a 25-year member of the Indianhead Track Club, serving as president from 2000 to 2002, and was a founder of the Water Street Mile - an annual July event. Tim was a renowned competitor and organizer of numerous racing events, including snowshoeing, biking, canoeing, triathlons and stair-climbing throughout the world. His most recent accomplishments included competing in the 2005 Snow Shoe Championship in Italy and winning the Minnesota Border to Border Triathlon with his longtime friend and racing partner, Jesse Hayes. Tim is survived by his father, Clarence, of Altoona; his wife, Paula; two children, Adam Dusick of Minneapolis, Minn., and Amanda (Rob) Richardson of Bloomington, Ind., and their mother, Jeanne Sternke; two stepchildren, Heather Sikorski of Spooner and Mitchell Sikorski of Eau Claire; nine brothers and sisters, Judy Lessard of Cape Coral, Fla., Deanna Anderson and Michael (Jody) Dusick, both of Chippewa Falls, Peggy Vold of Eau Claire, Cindy (Craig) Rude of Black River Falls, Jan (Todd) Kunkel, David (Wendy) Dusick, Dennis Dusick and Donald Dusick, all of Eau Claire; several nieces and nephews; his very special great-niece and great-nephew, Kaylee and Anthony Westenberg; and his little girl, Ariel Jean, his dachshund. He was preceded in death by his mother, Deloris Spencer. His family extends a special thanks to Dr. Delmastro, Dr. Tana, and the staff at the Cancer Center and eighth floor at Sacred Heart Hospital. A celebration of Tim's life will be held at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 19, at Hope United Methodist Church, 2233 Golf Road, Eau Claire, with the Rev. Don Gribble officiating. Visitation will be held before and after the memorial service, from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday at the church. Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral and Cremation Services assisted his family.
